Sugar Addiction

We all know sugar is not good for our health, it causes health problems. Sugar is the cause of many diseases like type 2 diabetes, obesity, and auto-immune conditions. So if we know this why can’t we stop consuming it? 
 

SUGAR IS AN ADDICTION 

The way it stimulates our brains is in fact the same as any other behaviour or substance addiction. It enters the bloodstream and gives us that Dopamine release which stimulates our pleasure centres. But because dopamine is an excitatory neurotransmitter, over time we need more and more to experience the same pleasure in our bodies

Addiction is usually a result of a deeper root cause.  

Addiction then becomes a habit. 

And habits are deeply routed in our subconscious brain and therefore not easily changeable – they require much more than willpower alone.

I work with my clients to reach the underlying reason for the addiction to sugar and reframe the habit to co-create more empowering ones enabling the client to move towards their health goals without bad habits holding them back

Addressing the Addiction. Using specific coaching skills I help clients identify the root cause of their addiction so they can understand and let go of the behaviour stuck in their subconscious programming 

 

Addressing the Habit. Using subconscious reprogramming techniques like the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Quantum Neurobiology (QNB) and Breathwork, I help my clients to reframe and release the old habits and behaviours. We then work to program in new habits and along with practices of goal setting and micro-habits my clients go on to achieve their health goals and sustain them for the long term, creating Quantum Habits.
